A very alert user forwarded a PM to me today from another member here. This private message was a variation of the old email Nigerian Scam.

Please be aware of this and if you receive a PM, email, instant message, etc. from anyone that asks for private information it is a scam. No matter how much money they promise you, it is your bank account that will be empty at the end of the transaction.

The offending user has been identified and dealt with, and if you have received a suspicious pm from another member please feel free to forward it to me.

Because of this abuse you must now have at least 10 posts before you can use the Private Messaging system.
