from what i have felt in my experiences with chi flow is that shaolin is right you have a build up basically this means your hand might be ever so slightly tensed somwhere try to loosen up a bit more where you feel a hot spot. i might hurt whatever good reputation i might have in here by saying this but you body work on a kind of bio electricity and i think that since your chi is your body's most powerful element it must be conected some way or another to your chi or perhaps because of your chi and when you meditate sitting on the floor or in repose if you tense this causes the hot spot where you are tightening up. like the wiring in your car if two wires get somehow crossed or touch heat builds up from the excess power. meaning that when your in a chi moment and you make a rigid move or have become tense somewhere or thinking about anything (why your hand is hot)the flow is interrupted or blocked and therefore there is a build up of energy. and energy in this case assuming im not talking out my @$$ is connected to electricity your hand consequently gets hot
