Rep Power: 0 | | | whats up Brian? You know all about Sin The' don't you? I believe we've had some laughs back in college on this topic. All is good here. Have you seen Sifu Dufresne? |

Rep Power: 36 | | | Again, and this time with more feeling: who gives a damn? Shaolin-Do is as Shaolin-Do does. I am just suprised by the amount of people across the 'net that spend valuable time beating this rotting, dead horse. There are more interesting subjects to bang away at the 'ol keyboard about, surely?

Rep Power: 0 | | | yeah it's getting a little boring.....NOT. Whenever I need a good laugh I just go to Sin The's web site and read all the amazing fairy tails he talks about and it makes me laugh. Like how he knock a bull into a river with a side kick. There are numerous stories that I have heard and would just like to meet or talk to just one person that has actually seen this crap. It's always the same story and it starts out like this....I know someone who said they saw Sin The' do (you fill in the blank). No one can say they saw him themselves do any of these fairy tail things. So no, it's not getting boring for me. |

Bah, your efforts are weak.
I kicked a midget, who was riding a cow, over the moon, just the other day.
And that was one of my weakest feats, I have many more that are grander than that

Rep Power: 0 | | | His story of the "rare" meteor fist is hallarious. He claims he can sit in the middle of a gymnasium indian style jump up and go over to the entrance of the gym, beat someone up, and be back in the middle of the gym floor indian style sitting without anyone seeing this. This is how fast his Meteor Fist is. I've heard he can jump so high that he can sit on a basketball rim. Anyone see this? Please I'm begging anyone to come forward who has seen this. I want to learn this stuff. |

Rep Power: 36 | | | Yeah, I used to do Five Animal, when I was but a sprat. The bulk of my experience is in boxing and wrestling. And, MH, I know of the midget you speak about. He and his cow landed in my backyard a fortnight ago. He insulted my plastic flamingoes, so I shot a chi-ball at him. The cow remains as my guest.

Rep Power: 39 | | | Yeah I know that originally almost no eastern fighting style had any ranking system. The Temples (Shaolin and Wudong) Came the closest with disciple and adept and so forth but that reall was more because of the other facets of the temple not the martail art. I just dont know how current day ranking is done...Dont really agree with it. I see it as a false sence of accomplishment but then again I do want to be able to legitamently show that I can teach when the time comes for me to teach. I was under the impression though that the elder brother/ uncle/ father and so forth ranking system was just family terms for one another that transfered over to the chinese martial arts. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Its almost impossible to own a martial arts school and not have a rank system. People (students) want to be able to feel like they are accomplishing something so they won't join a school if they don't have a belt ranking system. A ranking system allows the school to be more maketable (not that this is right) to the potential student. Another reason students like the belt ranking system is so that when they get that black belt they can go tell everyone....hey I got a black belt. It's that 'mysticism" that goes along with having a black belt. Of course as you progress high in rank you realize that a black belt means nothing. It just means you have learned the basics. At black belt level is when you really start to learn. | |
