It is funny that you think that only one or two people here have defended TCMAs on the DL... that is the funny part ... the sad part is that with all your huffing and puffing, easily offended cyber angst, you are rapidly undoing a lot of good work that other TMAists here who (on occasion rationally even) have put the case of TMA out there, to the point where most on this site can at worst respectfully agree to disagree.

[But on a serious note, all I was pointing out to you was that all your cyber TCMA v MMA huffing and puffing is doing is dragging this forum back in time about a year or two… a very dark period in this forums history where light and reason were overthrown by endless TMA v MMA shirt fights that got nowhere and achieved nothing. It got to the stage where very few TCMA people – almost zilch – could be bothered posting anything at all pertaining to their arts without skinny little Canadians butting in with a “prove it!” post. Now, people actually want to discuss kung fu here, and the darkness has been replaced by some interesting kung fu discussions... Not a huge amount, but some. All you are doing with these debates - and your outrage - is blocking the light.]

i dont know about that

i now train BJJ occasionally (when i can affoard to)

and have recently taken up escrima

my staunch TMA attitude was changed by all that bickering

i now see the value of thinking outside the box

i am finding this all a bit strange

'cause jade trains more than one MA

from more than one country

and hence is in fact is an MMAista

Fu-Pau....IMO it seems that it's the MMAists that are as you call it "blocking the light". Whenever I speak about anything kung fu related all i get back in response is "that wont work because it's a TMA" or comments like "i like those pretty silk comfy pj's that you guys wear". How mature is that? I'm all for cross training in other styles but don't discredit arts that focus on stand up fighting. I don't know about the styles that you all learn or teach but I was taught how to counter takedowns using stand up fighting methods.
