Rep Power: 0 | | we practice a qigong set that is part of the Wu Ji style of Tai Chi Chuan, as it developes the physical and energetic qualities associated with the style. Yes, those qualities exist in the form, however the qigong set uses a single posture in repetition to settle oneself into that specific energy pattern. The form moves dynamically from one posture to another, one energy pattern to another.
my experience has been that students 'feel' thier energy patterns first in qigong, get to 'know' what that feeling is, and then can develop their form practice to capture it dynamically.
we do the same with our bagua.

Rep Power: 22 | | | Sounds interesting. In Wing Chun our first form Siu Nim Tau (Xiao Nian Tou in Mandarin) also has a lot to do with Qigong | |
