I hope to have some pics soon of different techniques. Just been busy a bit recently.
I hope to also show techniques against grapplers attacks from a kung fu perspective.
Feel free to post any techniques or picture or descriptions that you like. |

I'm assuming these techniques have been practiced against trained "grapplers"? Or are you defending a double-leg takedown from a Kung Fu student who has no idea how to do a double-leg takedown?
Regardless, I have a facepalm prepared for these pictures should they ever get posted.

..from which hands/footwork?
I like combinations that end with chop and pau choy, especially the ones that leave you in a forward stance, "square" with your opponent.

Rep Power: 0 | | | It is interesting how the pride wells in here, and other forums. I haven't even shown any techniques yet and I hear attack after attack. People just assume things without even seeing them. This is not wise. |

Rep Power: 29 | | | Nice Pics, but so true. KungFuMan, it's not about pride. It's about education. I've had to swallow my pride here many times. Get it right and stop being a space cadet. Many Kung Fu guys (and I'm a Kung Fu guy), don't know how to grapple. Which is a pity because it should be included in a complete Kung Fu syllabus. My grappling is more limited to stand up, from my training in Wing Chun. But I also know how to perform a shoot from training with some grapplers. |

Rep Power: 31 | | | My arrogance and ego were beat out of me by my Sihing and other training partners. Physically. I used to be a c0cky little kid who thought I knew everything too. Then I got my ass kicked, repeatedly.
Now I just try to learn and improve. I still have lots of PRIDE in my system and I believe I'm on the path to using what works and what doesn't. I love CMA tradition and culture, I'm Chinese for crying out loud.
Just because you like to fight and to learn doesn't mean you're an arrogant asshole. The only people I show any sort of arrogance towards are people like YOU who deliberately make my martial art look bad!

This one is a square on combo, gwa sau chop.
Lead with either hand. Normal gwa sau . . . as your finish the sau choy bring your opposite hand to your head/ear level and drill down.

Rep Power: 29 | | | I've never heard of a Kung Fu perspective. The only perspective I want is the perspective I have when I beat down arrogant assholes who denigrate the martial arts!!!! Video footage is much better, any fool can pose for a photo and look good. Actions speak louder than words. | |
