Rep Power: 87 | | | Nice entry! I've been thinking of getting one. I'm doing some stability ball training to help stabilize my core. The root of my problems goes to a back/hip injury I sustained going up for a headball in soccer. It has caused numerous problems up and down the kinetic chain.

Rep Power: 41 | | | Thanks, I find balance discs an important part of my weekly routine. You'll have to let me know how you fare with them.

Also, check back here next weekend when I talk about myofascial release (massage) with foam rollers and myo release balls. Might be something you'd see value in using. |

I have one of these and they are great! People would be suprised at how good they work. Balance is important for overall performance in almost any physical activity.
Have you ever tried to stand on a basketball? (start on carpet, then move to harder surface as you get better)
How about with one leg in the air?
I am still working on the one leg...I can only do it for a couple of seconds. But I can get my leg almost chest high before I fall.
I am sure some of you guys out there can do it no problem.

Once I'm outta school I'll look into getting one of these though. Then I might really get some work done with my White Crane stances. ^_^
