Rep Power: 100 | | | Michael Jackson Cleared of Abuse http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertain...ic/4604027.stm
Singer Michael Jackson has been found innocent of all charges at the end of his four-month child abuse trial.
There were cheers from fans outside the court as the verdicts were read. The singer had strenuously denied molesting a 13-year-old boy.
He was also cleared of giving the child alcohol and conspiring to kidnap him and his family.
Good verdict? Bad verdict? Just money talking? |

Rep Power: 26 | | | well i don't know if he is a child molester or not, but he is a freak, and i wouldn't trust my kids with him, if i had any.
I really hope no one expected him to go to jail though, just wasn't going to happen

Rep Power: 127 | | | What do you think would've happened in LA if Jackson was found guilty? Do you think there would've been a chance for a riot?

Doubtful...I wouldn't have been suprised to see some of the freaks...er I mean, Jackson supporters cause trouble..maybe evena few suicides.
But no, not nearly enough people are behind him to cause a riot.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Good call, it's just a case of demonising someone who's different. Can't go over homosexuals anymore so they find someone else to scapegoat. |

First off, it's spelled Demonizing...you so rarely get to use "Z"s, you really should take full advantage of when you can.
I'm not sure whats mroe offensive, you putting child molesters and Homosexuals in the same boat or that having a serious problem with child molesters makes someone a biggot.
not your words I know, but it's kid of the message your sending.
Got kids Robin?

Rep Power: 0 | | | He was cleared of all charges, that means he's not one. It was rather obvious from the outset that the people charging him were just trying to make a quick buck. I'm not putting child molesters and homosexuals in the same boat, I'm saying bigots need a scapegoat and if they can't scapegoat a homosexual they'll scapegoat someone who is otherwise different. It has nothing to do with him being a child molestor, it has to do with him being rich, a black guy who turned white and has had extensive plastic surgery, and then a whole lot of conjecture based on his theme park and dangling his kid out the window. He certainly doesn't have the markings of a good parent, but if you took any parent and put them in the spotlight the way MJ was I bet you'd see more often than not that nobody has any business calling MJ on his parenting without being a hypocrite. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Yes, I am. The charges were about as bullsh*t as all the women who were coming out to say they had sexual relations with Bill Clinton after the Lewinski scandal. Just someone thinking they can make a buck or looking for their 15 minutes of fame. |

Wow....I owe some apologies to O.J. then
The systems not perfect, innocents get jailed and crooks go free, thats just how it works.
As for parenting, yes, if you put people under the spotlights then stuff comes out. It was just today my neighbor was freaking out about her son figuring out how to unlock the front door (smart little bugger) and get about 2 feet out the front door...the woman was damn near in tears.
Now, I don't have kids and am admittedly ignorant on the subject, but IMO, Thats a parenting mistake, they happen, it is a huge leap from that and sleeping in the same bed with kids that aren't yours.
And yes, the "Victim" was out for cash and he may not have done a thing to this kid, but when you conduct yourself in the manner that MJ has then it doesn't leave alot of room to draw other conclusions.
So, If I believe he is a child molester, and that touching kids is wrong, does that make me a bigot? Because I don't think I hate him anymore then the 1000's of other ones that don't have the cash to sidestep justice.

Err, No it doesn't. It means the burden of proof beyond the legal definition of "beyond a reasonable doubt" was not met. It means he was legally found innocent of the specific charges with regards to this one juvenile.
It does not mean he is innocent or that he is not a child molester.
It was a weak case from a legal standpoint. The family had no credibility - thanks largely to the mother. In fact, one of the jurors said he thinks Jackson probably has molested children. I think the jury did their job, however I think he is guilty.
As for what I think of MJ, well .....
