2. Most kung fu styles don't have belts unless their pants are too wide. In that case, they usually just turn black if you don't wash them for a long time. And if you do get a black belt for your achievements, it's not in Kung Fu, but in (for example) Wing Chun, Choy Lay Fut, Northern/Southern/7 star/whatever praying mantis, etc.
3. This question cannot be answered.

Rep Power: 25 | | | really it all comes down to the practitioner and there understanding of martial art in general. from my experiences, Karate tends to be more uniformed and simple, whereas Kung fu has more of an open minded mentality towards martial art.
but like i sed, that's just MY experience with the 2 martial arts and in the end it boils right down to the practitioner not getting hung up on certain technique.... i've seen one video with a drunken kung fu guy versus an okinawan karate dude and the kung fu guy go slaughtered, mainly b/c he was too buisy 'dancing around' and not moving 'purposefully' as he should have been within his style.

Rep Power: 100 | | I think all the evidence in the Wing CHun vs. Anything is that Wing Chun loses
Happily, I think I know why and have rectified the problem!
Of course, this was not always the case. Wong Shun Leung made the style famous by fighting other styles and beating them. Unfortunately, much of what originally made WC brilliant has been trained out of the style. |

I feel your pain.
I think a realistic answer is the two guys wouldn't fight because neither one would be stupid enough to take a confrontation to that point.

Rep Power: 100 | | | Of course they only show Goofs who couldn't keep their trousers up, especially hopelessly overmatched, undertrained beginners. This is also movie-fu, I'm inclined to say that real drunken-anything does not look like Jackie Chans slapstick movies of the 70s. I also remember that there were 3 fights in a clip of that kind I saw, two total inept spacken who couldn't last 10 seconds against a 10 years old amateur boxer, and one guy who obviously was a little trained in what he did, and it was NOT Jackie Chans trademark red nose bullcrap, and who was looking good. It's TYPICAL for the arrogance of such video promoters to cut out the part that does not suit their agenda.
BTW, the answer to the question is, the one with the Smith & Wesson who didn't come with a knife to a gunfight.
