San Soo vs. Shou Shu - Battle of t3h d34d1y

In the Red Corner . . . .

We have San Soo Kung Fu, a.k.a. Choy Li Ho Fut Hung Ga, a.k.a. Choy Li Ho Fut Hung Ga San Soo Wu Shu Kung Fuu, a.k.a. San Soo Kung Fu, which also apparently means San Shou (free fighting/Chinese kickboxing) as well. San Soo (which we will call for ease's sake) has many profound elements in it, including being founded by Master Jimmy Woo, a.k.a. Chan Siu Dek, who according to my information, is a member of the Chan Family Choy Lee Fut branch, and a living descendant of Chan Heung, founder of the Choy Lee Fut style.

San Soo is also apparently extremely deadly, and as such, San Soo fighters do not train to fight in tournaments whatsoever. However, because the founder, Jimmy Woo lived in China, the fights there are obviously rule-free and a fighter can you whatever deadly techniques he wishes to employ. As a result, Jimmy Woo resulted in the death of many of his opponents to his deadly skills, and is considered one of the five deadliest martial artists of all time. Furthermore, according to all data observed, he won his first Kumite death-duel at the age of 6, and won his second master-tournament to the death at the mere age of 14, possibly making him the most lethal human being ever. However, to contain the deadliness of the martial art and to not kill anyone and lead his students to possible legal ramifications, San Soo is not used in any modern tournaments. However, its deadliness cannot be denied whatsoever.

In the Blue Corner . . . .

We have Shou Shu Kung Fu, a style that supposed originated out of Ancient Egypt and contains moves so deadly that a skilled practitioner can defeat something along the lines of 20 skilled opponents at once. Due to the deadliness of Shou Shu, its practitioners never go to tournaments, competitions, or seek to fight other people, because they would simply just kill them outright.

Shou Shu basically means "Beast Art" (according to information received), and was brought to the United States by Grand Master of the style, Al Moore Sr. Now nobody knows why Shou Shu was never heard of prior to Mr. Moore Sr. bringing it over to the United States, but we can assume that it was a secret system passed on to secret followers for thousands of years. Mr. Moore was obviously given permission to teach this system to the good citizens of this country by the higher beings in his system, who probably will never show their faces. Shou Shu is also sometimes referred to as "Moore's Karate" although I believe this to be a terrible misrepresentation of the style, as calling at with the name of a style as simple and ineffective as "Karate" is nothing short of heresy.

So ladies and gentleman . . . . today we have used the secret Ninjer powers of the Bujinkan ninjas to purposely kidnap the best and most deadly fighter from each of these respective styles. There will be no rules in this match, so that they can each use their deadliest techniques without holding back.

This is truly the fight of the century.

Before the fight commences, I would like to receive all of your thoughts regarding this fight, and who you think would walk out the victor.

Regards,

Miluo

Huh, both are t3h d34dly, that's a tough vote

Where's what's his name from MAP to point out the flaws of Shou Shu?

And sansoo85 to point out t3h d34dl1n3ss of San Soo and it's d34dly founder who was only 6 when killing so many people?

I dunno man. It's been a while since we've talked to a REAL Shou Shu guy . . . . . but I think they might just have the edge. Because Shou Shu was more secretive than San Soo, plus they don't even spar at all.

I'm not sure but do they spar in San Soo? Because any art that spars is a sport art and less d34d1y in a str33t f1ght.

You bring up some excellent points, which further confounds on who I will vote for.

But to my knowledge, Al Moore Sr. never even competed in rules-free Mortal Kombat tournaments in China. Which might make Jimmy Woo more d34d1y because he killed people at the mere age of six.

But can Jimmy Woo take on like 30 people at once?

I don't know. I am sad now.

OK, I have never heard of this Shou Shu stuff before....
I don't know anything about San Soo but when anyone starts spouting off stuff like "ancient style from ancient Egypt" my BS radar goes off full tilt.

I would have to say the San Soo guy wins this fight.

I have no idea about lineage or heritage but at least San Soo has produced a fighter with a verifiable winning record in MMA. That goes a LONG way toward credibility. I have no idea what is contained in San Soo (CLF or whatever) and I would have to see Kyle Olsen fight to determine if he was using non BJJ/Muay Thai/wrestling/boxing style techniques and principles. That being said, he has competed in MMA and has won fights and he attributes his style as San Soo Kung Fu.

I have yet to see anyone that has a verifiable successful MMA record that attributes that success to Choy Lay Fut, Tai Chi, Bagua, WIng Chun, etc. and has not supplemented their training with modern MMA training arts/styles. I know there are guys who have fought MMA that come from these backgrounds but they are also admittedly training in BJJ and other extracurricular arts, which by watching ther fights, you can see is a majority of their style and not their CMA heritage. Again, I would have to see this Kyle Olsen cat compete to determine if he was in fact training extracurricular arts and styles.

In a nutshell....

Kung Fu San Soo has produced a fighter (as far as I know) that at least competes successfully in MMA.

Very few other CMAs can boast this claim.

Shou Shu is a load of BS because they played the Ancient Egyptian card.

San Soo > Shou Shu.

Peace-
Cam

I agree with Sammy. The joke has run into the ground, let it go.

Well now that DaiSiHing01 has come forward and explained the situation, I feel much better. However like he said there are two San Soo organizations, one of them is filled with LARPers!!!

However close/delete this thread of you mods feel like it . . . . . . . I will stop my San Soo bashing from now on.

Regards,

Miluo
