Rep Power: 160 | | | mickey mouse? given mr disney's rather extreme right wing views, the role disney has played in changing copyright law, etc. I'd say mickey is one seriously political little rodent.

Voicing dissent is one of the most patriotic things a free person can do. Do I care what the Dixie Chicks said? No, I didn't like their music before or after so what they said had no bearing on my opinion of them. Do I think they had a right to say what they did? Sure as hell did. Did their ex-fans have a right to run over their CD's in a mall parking lot? Sure as hell did. | ” | |
Yes the Dixie Chicks had a right to speak out against Bush and what he was doing but there is a diplomatic way about doing it without pissing all your fans off. BNot to mention they said their negative comments when over in England I believe it was which really turned thier American fans off. I think it was the Dixie Chick named Nataley Maines that made most of the comments and is the most outspoken. After that incident the other members would hardly let her talk when the group was interviewed. I guess they didn't want anymore negative publicity.

Well maybe because you either didn't know thier views before you went to the show or if you did you did not know they were going to be so vocal about it at thier show. Or maybe you just like the music so much that you wanted to hear it anyways. I knew Bruce Springsteen's views on certain political issues but did not realize how vocal he is in concert about those issues.
