Rep Power: 41 | | | "The Hunted" While it's not a perfect tie in, but TBS was running "The Hunted' the other day, I thought the knife fighting looked too realistic for the movies.. Turns out it was correographed "Kali".
Based on what I saw in the film it was very impressive. Anyone seen the movie? Is it really "Kali"? Or pure Film-Fu?

Rep Power: 220 | | No it doesn't, as it pertains to FMA's
Have seen the movie, but don't remember the knife scenes as it was some time ago that I saw it

That's a little info, Google them and you should get some more info. RealFighting.com - Tom Kier Thomas Kier Bio

Rep Power: 41 | | | Thanks Mei, I've always thought that looked quite realistic. It's nice to see Hollywood can get it right once and a while.

Rep Power: 9 | | | Tom Keir is da man. I had the opportunity to train with him once or twice when I did a bit of Sayoc Kali, which is what yuou are looking at in the film. The moves are almost textbook from one of the first templates (sets) you learn and can be learned in any of the Sayoc seminars-which I cannot recommend strongly enough,if you want to learn more than you will imagine about blade fighting. Not film fu at all. | |
