Here are a couple of clips showing FMA partner drills where the focus of the drills is not to spar or fight, but to develop muscle memory, learn new movements and possibilities and increase your reaction response time and awareness of multiple angles of attack. Just thought this would be easier for you to just watch than for me to try explain them with text.
This is how we spar. Though we would only spar with that ferocity for a couple of 1 minute rounds per week. The rest is from 50% to 80% of that aggression. Or if someone still has an injury that is worrying them from the week before we will then do less full contact and more flows and drills to allow for healing without losing practice time.
I would like to add that we are nowhere near as good as some of these fighters ( for example Marc Denny. normally blue kneepads no shirt ). Pure class.

I liked the vid except for the knife fighting part
”
That vid is old and they always had issues with the rubber knife fighting being too unrealistic. They now use Shock Knifes. Not perfect either but a lot better.
