Rep Power: 39 | | | I did see the links you posted Sifu Chuck. Thanks. The first one is cool, but a bit pricey ( when you also consider interntional shipping, postage and local duties and post office fees ) and the other 2 are a little too protected. |

Rep Power: 39 | | | we're gonna try putting thinner gloves ( like soccer goalie gloves ) under the vale tudo gloves. You will still hurt, but at least some of that .... sharpness will be lessened. Apparently Salty Dog ( founding member of Dog Brothers ) did a few gatherings with no hand protection at all. Ouch !

Rep Power: 39 | | | No, Fuzzy, that is what I am using now. The parts that are padded are great on those gloves, but I think I'm gonna get arthritis in my thumbs if I don't get better protection.

No, those are what we are already using. They are great for empty hand sparring, grappling, and knife sparring. But, they just don't provide protection in all the right places for stick fighting.
