Though I am also gonna check out A.M.O.K. The A.M.O.K HQ is here in SA and there are several training groups, so I will see which place suits me better. Maybe both will be cool, but doubt I could afford both anyway.

A.M.O.K is a 30 minute drive though, while Bakbakan is a 5 minute drive from me. Definitely a big consideration with petrol prices the way they are right now.

That is a weakness in foil fencing as well. Too much linear footwork. But now that you mention it. I've noticed (I know Wing Chun is another animal altogether) that as a result of training with the butterfly swords (I've just started), it has made a huge improvement on my footwork in sparring as well as on the wooden dummy.
