Tried to do some slaps with it a few weeks back, found out real quick that it's still healing. Doc told me that it could be anywhere from 8-10 months. I believe it's been around 6-7 months since the surgery. I'll start the conditioning in a few months or so, hopefully it will be a lot closer to being fully healed by that time.
I'll keep you guys updated.

What about the TCM question from a while back? Do you see an herbalist, do qigong or use any type of topical ointment (like jow) to aid the healing process? |

Rep Power: 127 | | | I haven't really been applying jow as much as before. I guess in my mind I don't "need" to anymore, which is totally wrong. As for seeing our acupuncturist, haven't seen them for a long time, don't think they even know I had the surgery yet.
Wow, all of a sudden.... I feel guilty. Gotta go check them out soon. Been doing some ChiKung, but not QiGong.

Rep Power: 160 | | | Glad it's doing ok. Give it time, lots and lots of time, it will never be as strong as if it hadn't been injured. Stick to your physio. Believe me, it's far better to let it heal now than try and sort it out in a few years time.

Rep Power: 127 | | | I agree John, this is how I got into this mess originally. Well, that and the fact that I had no medical at the time.

Rep Power: 9 | | Hows the right hand Jaws?
Ive got a similar problem with my right hand the pinky finger has been squashed inwards about 2years ago, which has affected the wrist and this year is starting to affect the third finger. Really p*ss taking when trying to train.
Im on a four week waiting list just for a check up from some musculosketal people.

Rep Power: 127 | | | Right hand is fine.... it was the left that got jacked.... lol.
At the moment, it's not as strong as it once was, but I'm working on it. I haven't felt any discomfort since the surgery, over a year now. My Dr. told me that I may need another surgery in a few years to remove the plates in my hand, but that's only if I feel discomfort. So we'll see.
2 years huh? Don't be a fool like me, get it checked out as soon as they have availability.
Aloha
