For sure use 2 and 3 described here on point of injury. May want to use all three.
Jeff(fuzzy30)
Tonifying is meant to strengthen weak chi, and is done by pressing the thumb or finger into an acupoint with a firm, steady pressure, holding it for up to two minutes.
Dispersing is meant to move stagnant or blocked chi, and the finger or thumb is moved in a circular motion or slightly in and out of the point for two minutes.
Calming the chi in a pressure point utilizes the palm to cover the point and gently stroke the area for about two minutes. |

Thanks for the feedback, Fuzzy. My wife is picking up some jow for me at a local herb store, too. (sorry, Plum...it's just a small bottle. When I am done, I will order from you) I am not too sure of the quality, but, it is worth a try. I am starting to feel normal again. The only real pain problem is the local area of the wound. My dizziness is alot better than last night, I thought I was gonna up-chuck.... |

You could have separated (sprained) ribs or even a minor crack that could become worse. Also, there is a lymph node cluster under the pit of the arm and you could have shocked your system by causing trauma there.
I would suggest massaging with some pain cream (I have been using the blue emu stuff a lot lately. It's seems to work really well).
I'm gonna try some of Plum's jow, soon, also.
Peace-
Cam

Blue Emu (there are a couple of different brand names on the market) is like Ben Gay but the base is emu oil, which penetrates the human skin very well and gets the stuff down deep, really fast so it does the job. It contains menthol (like Ben Gay) and MSM (the stuff they rub down race horses with... you can get MSM in an industrial strength from a feed and seed place if you want to try it...). I have used thai liniment, Tiger Balm and all the other stuff that they sell at the local shops and the blue emu stuff is the best.
The brand name "Blue Emu" is about $14 for 4 oz. at Wal-Mart but there is a generic version called "Blue Goo" that is about $5 for 4 oz. and it smells better (kind of fruity) and works just as well.
I use it for sprains, bruises, contusions and everything else but it's designed for arthritis and it really works on the arthritis in my neck and knees.
Give it a try.
Peace-
Cam

Rep Power: 100 | | | I won't use Tiger Balm for anything serious. It's just a heat-up agent, and does nothing for tonifying. A very cheap old folk medicine for the poor, on par with just rubbing the point from hand with oil.

Rep Power: 168 | | | I have used TB with decent results. The heating property will increase blood flow to the area and it also has an analgesic property to it. The same with Thai liniment. Blue Emu is the best, though...

Rep Power: 36 | | Thanks for the tip on the Blue Emu & Blue Goo. I am headed to Wal-Mart today, anyway, so I will pick some up. My lady forgot to pick up the Jow for me, so I need to get something. I have a nice cut on the bridge of my already bent nose, too. Hopefully, as I practice more, I can get out of the way easier, regain the speed of my youth. If not, then I may have to get used to the idea of collecting more deformities...
One guy tried to grab my beard, even... the Osama look may have to be taken care of, don't want to give these guys any more advantages than they already have. Thanks again, y'all. |
