At the system I work at, we subscribe to a lot of online databases, including several health ones. Any patron with a library card can access these from their computers at home.

The good thing about these databases is they are approved by a library system and weed out the ten million advertisements and just give you medical references from scholarly sources. No "wikipedia style" anyone can chip in advice on these databases.

But you can do a search almost as easily as googling them.

Here is a link to see what I am talking about. Unfortunately, you won't be able to access them unless you have a San Diego card, but it will give you an idea what to ask about at your library.

find out if your local library system has some online databases

Or your employer. Some companies now get company wide subscriptions.

Or even better than looking things up yourself and misdiagnosing and making yourself think you're gonna die with the dreaded eye cancer.

See a Dr. who will fix you right quick

I can tell you didn't experience the NHS first hand while you were over.

In general, though, you're right, go to a Dr.

between me and my mom, we can pretty much diagnose anything, but we have to go to a Dr to get a perscription or such.

ntuc is on a distinguished road
Abnormal Eyelid Twitching

I get an abnormally rapid eyelid twitching which last for about a year before and it is actually diagnosed as one of the symptoms of Tardive Dyskinesia (neuroleptic medication-induced repetitive, involuntary, purposeless facial muscle movements) caused by prolonged intake of Risperdal. And I actually get it finally and totally cured through treatment administered onto the "He Gu" acupuncture point of my right hand.

And this "He Gu' acupuncture point, based on the acupuncturist is actually related to the treatments of facial nerves especially the eyelids. Whilst the treatment itself is a self-administered alternative instrument-aided acupressure technique provided to me by the particular acupuncturist.
