| Forum Rules - Please Read By participating in this forum, you are agreeing to abide by the following rules.
When becoming a member of this forum, each person agreed to the following as a part of the registration process:
1. You warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative any laws.
2. Spam (multiple copies in one area or the same communication in multiple areas) messages are prohibited.
3. Advertising/commercial solicitation including but not limited to websites, seminars, tournaments, videos, etc. are only permitted in the proper forum.
4. Don't paste full articles which appear on other sites. Reason being, the authors of many such articles are paid by revenue the site generates from ads on their site. Quoting a part of an article is fine as is placing a link to the site in which the article appears. It also avoids any copyright infringements.
5. Please keep posts in the area they belong. If you wish to talk about games for example, please post it in "Moves/Films/Comics/Games" If you wish to sell an item (non-commercial), post it in the "Buy/Sale/Trade" forum. If the moderator(s) finds that you have posted an off-topic post, it will be moved to the appropriate forum.
6. Agree to disagree. Everyone's opinion counts, is valued, and should be respected. If you can't respect someone's point of view -- ignore it! Personally attacking another poster by name-calling will not be tolerated. You may call someone's comments "stupid" without calling the person who made the post "stupid". Take any negative personal stuff to a private message or e-mail.
7. The moderator(s) of dragonslist.com has the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for ANY reason. If you feel you have been treated unfairly by a moderator discuss it with a super moderator or admin via PM. Under no circumstances is it permitted to be disrespectful of The Dragon's List staff.
8. If a thread is locked DO NOT start another thread or reply to discuss why the previous thread was locked. If a moderator feels a thread has gone too far off-topic and cannot be directed back on topic, or if a moderator feels a thread has degenerated into a flame war it will be closed. If you have questions or concerns about a particular thread PM an admin. This also holds true for moderation actions such as issueing a warning, temporary ban, or permanent ban.
9. If a user receives a permanent ban, after six months have passed the user is eligible to petition an admin or super-mod to have their account reinstated. Re-instatements are taken on a case by case basis and the results are decided by a majority vote of admins and super-mods.
Posts that violate the above terms will be edited or deleted upon discovery and a private message or e-mail sent to the offender. Depending on the nature of the violation or number of past offenses, the moderator(s) may terminate a user's account for a period of time or forever as a last resort. If a poster has any questions or concerns about the rules or a moderator(s) decision, it is to be done in e-mail or as a private message. |
