More normally yeah, every summer I drop off 5 kg or so and every winter I put it back on. I just slow down over the winter. It sounds like you're doing everything right. Don't expect overnight results. The trick is to find something, anything, physical you're going to enjoy doing nearly every day and enjoy enough to skip or shrink meals for. Yoga is great...

I'm pretty sure you burn off more calories in colder weather too. |

I've actually put on weight, but I've gone down quite a bit in fat/size. My tip, pay no attention to the scale, in my experiance it's irrelevant to health.

Skip meals, start walking everywhere instead of driving (Unless you have to)add to all that regular exercise and balanced nutritious meals. Take multivitamins as well.

Actually, skipping meals is not the way to do it. Eating more but in small portions is a better and safer way to go about this. Eating more frequently, yet keeping them small in size works your metabolism better.

Maybe, but it works for me.... I can't eat breakfast (don't know why, just can't even think about food in the morning) and I don't eat lunch because it slows me down in the afternoon. The multivitamins suffice for the skipped meals, for me. Everybody's different. My suggestion is for temporary, untill you reach desired weight. If you are trying to build muscle (mass) then this is not the right diet...

Rep Power: 127 | | | Yeah, I can understand that everyone is different. The reason why the approach I brought up is safer is because...
1. Skipping meals drains energy (mental and physical)
2. You'll end up losing muscle instead of fat
3. Your body will use it's reserves quicker, etc, etc....

Rep Power: 8 | | | Jawsmans rite about not skipping meals, in actual fact if you minimize your daily food intake drastically ull gain weight because the metabolism hasnt got neffin to burn up. which also ruins ur metabolism.

Rep Power: 46 | | Really ? because....... Skipping Meals Might Offer Health Gains Ben Harder
People assume that the ideal meal schedule spreads calorie intake over the course of the day: Never skip breakfast, keep your blood sugar on an even keel, and all that. But Mark Mattson, a neuroscientist at the National Institute on Aging in Baltimore, suspects that conventional wisdom may be due for an overhaul.
While many doctors encourage people to eat three square meals a day, there aren't data to indicate that it's important, he says. In fact, says Mattson, "it may be healthy to have reduced meal frequency." In other words, skipping some meals—or occasionally fasting for the day—might be beneficial, even if overall calorie consumption remains unchanged http://www.sciencenews.org/articles/20030607/food.asp

Rep Power: 46 | | | I'm not saying that eating many small meals a day won't work, or that the diet I suggest is right, wrong, healthy or unhealthy. It just does'nt fit some life styles. If one wants to lose weight it will take great self control, want for self, knowledge and stick to itness.

Really, it's worked 100% opposite for me, my metabolism works harder when I do give it food, and thus gain no weight, and when I eat I eat more than a horse and cow combined.
I've also not lost any muscle, I've gained significant amounts by this diet method, agreed it's not for everyone, but it does work, and I've done things like this for over four years and still no negative side effects, in fact according to my last physical, I have the physique and constitution of a professional athlete.
