if its true then you shoudl be go out n check for your thyroid get lipid profile done..
if you are heavy, normally if you eat it rite no matter what your body type is you'll lose weight/fat.
huh...
I can give you some of the pranayamic breathing methods also to improve your metabolism
These 3 breathing exercises need to be done in same order. it'll help you with cleaning your internal system. http://www.lifestyledecision.com/Yoga_prana/asthma.html http://www.lifestyledecision.com/Yog...bhastrika.html http://www.lifestyledecision.com/Yog...ma-viloma.html
There are methods to detoxify your body too. like fruit juice fast.. or if you are fasting for ramadan then it's also good way to detoxify.
There are yogic methods that I know.. but it's hard to explain those online... Warrior diet does help a bit in this regard.

He he he... well.. I wasn't online for couple of days.. n missed this thread ... but not anymore
GB, trust me on adding breathign methods to improve metaboslim. if you are doing everything rite then adding this will help you a lot... try to do it 2 times in a day.
Pranayama has more power and value then it gets credit for.

Rep Power: 160 | | TKDW is right. The second breathing exercise is good. There are alternative versions.
See http://www.yogabound.com/yoga/pra_kapalabhati.htm
For thyroid - get some one to teach you shoulder stand.
A caution. There are exercises out there that really speed up your metabolism. That's not always a good thing. Go into it gradually and try to find a teacher.

Rep Power: 37 | | | john the ones I m talking about are safe... just need to follow it... these are the exercises that can be done by sick or ill people(well there r some exceptions always)... otherwise most of the pranayama exercises should not be done in any sort of illness.

Rep Power: 11 | | | dont worry about your metabolism too much, although those breathing exercises work, try limiting your intake of food to smaller proportions and more servings(instead of 3 big meals make it 5 smaller meals), dont eat after you are already full, and if you eat slower you will get full faster, so chew your food well, enjoy it! also, since your a martial artist do some training every once n a while, atleast twice a week, try to get 45 mins to an hour in.
when you starve yourself, your metabolism will slow down, allowing the body to sustain itself by digesting the food slower, putting off the hunger process. when you are healthy, vigorous, get your exercise and eat right your metabolism will speed up in order to supply your body with energy to perform these tasks.
also, keep a positive mind, dont get depressed, keep a positiive outlook, if not, the stress will cause the cortisol levels in your brain to rise, cortisol is a "death chemical" that your body excretes during stressful times, it will cause your body to store fat instead of burning it, especially in the belly(spare tire)region.

Well, I'd certainly recomend reading the warnings at the bottom of the page I posted before trying the fire breath stuff.

ok where to start, i have been taking precautions about wat and how i eat for about the last 3 months strictly, before that its was on and off ( 1month strict no junk plenty of veggies then about a month a little more litely eat a bit of junk occasionally or some cake which i cant say no to (Foriegn old ladies)) i ussually eat two proper meals a day, a breakfast of musli or low sugar ceral or last nites dinner and a nice sized meal which is evenly balanced, if i get hungry during the day its water and fruit, else i make a small sandwich with rye bread and salad, no chocolate or stuff like that. i eat normally not fast not slow, i chew enough. So its my metabolism is ruined and has been for so long, dont go toilet enough.
ok im a MA and train if not daily every second day, i spend around half and hour warming up, running sit ups push up crunchs, then practise MA for about another half hour and spend 15 minutes doing chigong training plus i spend ova 3 hours a week doing tradition dancing. And i have to clean everyday, wash floors vacuum, toilet bathroom ladida.
Im happy, depression i dont even fink bout it no point i got everything i need, a roof ova my head food for me my family and the xbox (hehe). Belly getting stored with fat meh, im more concerned about starting to grow a chi belly.
ill try this breathing exercises and see if i can find some yoga classes, Damn had one in school now its to late to change (term 4) but wont rely on it being good. i read the precautionsa nd dont have any of thoses symptoms so ill start tonite

Geez this is long sorri

Rep Power: 11 | | | sounds like you got it all under control. Another thing... it takes time, give it a month atleast and stick with your plan, dont stray, exercise regularly, burn yourself out each time, and dont eat sweets, thats what kills you it all goes to the belly, you want to stay away from unnatural sugar like candy and cake and all that horrid stuff(dont drink or smoke either but i dont think you do that).
if you toilet once a day thats good enough, and i take it that you're still young so you shouldnt worry since you have alot of energy to play with. right now i stay slim by doing judo, rondori(sparring) is a great way to get tired and sweat off some weight. i also do standing pole and moving pole exercises combined with yogic or chi gung breathing techniques.

Rep Power: 160 | | | LOL. Occaisional refined sugar won't do you any harm. To lose weight healthily takes time - more than 3 or 6 months. As for the tai chi belly - a small one is inevitable. I'm down below 13% bodyfat and do ashtanga (which seriously tones the abs) and I've got a small one...
