And if you arent taught it, then you have to learn :P
Even if its years later. |

Rep Power: 35 | | | I tend to try to stick to the "Vices allowed on one day" thing like that.
But still eat healthy along side it. Adjust the AMOUNT of healthy foods so you dont overdo the calories, but make sure you get all the stuff you should get, along with that massive slice of Chicago style deep dish pepperoni meat feast herb and cheese stuffed crust grease-fest pizza :P.

why's that weird???
never mind..
this thread is about food right?
you said something about calories?
how do you do that?
do you look at all products about the amount of calories?
(I do look at the amount of protein, carbs (especially sugars) and good/ bads fat allready...)
how do you balance your diet/ way of eating (diet sounds kinda negative to me... for me it's more about healthy living than loosing weight or fat etc. etc...)?

Rep Power: 35 | | | Its a little different to see that happening chief. Here we hardly even HAVE Pornography.
And yeah, just read those calorie signs. If it says 30g serving 900 calories. Then dont eat the thing! :P
And then start to figure out how much (roundabout) you have per day! 2,500 is good. 6,000 is bad. As is 100!
I balance mine by making sure i dont eat things stupidly (most of the time) and checking the general calorie intake, and by reading up on what foods that arent listed (veggies) calories are. |

Rep Power: 160 | | | Man, you guys work too hard at what you eat.
Cook it yourself as much as possible. Don't put loads of sugar or butter or lard in it. Don't stuff yourself with it. Done.
For me the big problem is eating at all. Don't like eating fatty food - it's too hard to digest in time for training. Can't eat less than three hours before training except a light snack. Don't eat non-organic meat, can't eat the usual veggie stuff (refined wheat pasta, lentils, chick peas). Can't eat too late before sleep... It's got to the stage where I'm as lean as I want to be. Hurts to sit on a wooden floor, but I definitely feel healthy - way healthier than the guys in the office or the gym.
Breakfast: fruit and yoghurt, two slices toast with butter and honey/roefish caviar/salmon
Lunch: Usually a sandwich. Sometimes tuna/salmon steak and salad. Sometimes whatever cooked meal looks good in the canteen.
Afternoon: usually a handful of cashews and raisins about 18:00. Sometimes whatever sickly sweat cake the coffee bar has if I need to stay awake and blood sugar has sunk.
Dinner: steak and potatoes with salad/curry/pasta and sauce with salad/spaghetti bolognase/something more interesting my wife cooks. If I'm still hungry a bowl of ice cream and fruit (happens about twice a month).
As for diet/nutrition tips. Avoid machine coffee like the plague. Avoid the hot chocolate twice as much. Don't put 'milk' in your vending machine coffee. I used to know a guy who lost half a stone by doing nothing more than giving up on vending machine coffee.

just realised how tall that "woman" mist have been..
then again...
are you 100% sure it wasn't a man??
I eat more or less the same way
but there's always room for improvement
you know that "burn the fat, feed the muscle" stuff???
that's a complete book with all kinda calculations on how to finetune your eating habits
it's probably one of the best things around, but reading it makes ya just want to grap a burger and forget about it...

At least when im workin freakin 5o hours a week. A good diet takes a lot of discipline, which I honest admit I fail at daily.

Unfortunately that can be hard. |
