Rep Power: 41 | | | Honestly I couldnt even guess at other DFACTS at Gordon other than the AIT DFACT's. I seriously Doubt I will use any DFACT to often since I'm on Seperate Rats, however if I did I think I would go for Breakfast. Me and my wife tend to eat Dinner a little later than the AIT DFACT's. I prefer to eat around 7pm. that give about 3 hours before bed. |

Rep Power: 3 | | okay, as the newbie here, gotta say not terribly up on the whole nutrition thang, I personally feel that it's really all about everything in moderation. I work funny hours and find it incredibly difficult to get into a regime where meals etc are concerned. I try to limit the amount of food I eat when I have to eat at weird times, and also try not too eat too much crap( harder than it seems when is soo easily available ) please don't lynch me |

Rep Power: 153 | | What!?! You mean you're not taking your wheat grass shots 4x a day, fasting 12 days a week, eating only raw hydroponically grown baby-chicken fuzz mixed with carrot shoots and taking 6 lbs of supplements every half-hour?
You're just a lost cause, dude.
(Welcome to the DL, by the way)

Rep Power: 41 | | | Yes Welcome Newbie. Dont worry I had to get flagged (an Army thing) for a second time before I got truely serious about nutrition. Actually Im losing a bit of weight just by eating right. between 1500 and 1900 cals per day and working out a little. Working odd hours is really hard I know. Right now I work from 2200 to 0600 and then go to PT at 0630 to 0730 Mon-fri. Makes eating kinda difficult but I finally got it down right.....It also helps I stoped carring money on me so I can't eat the easy to get things and have to brown bag it. |

Rep Power: 54 | | You PT for an hour 5 days a week and you call that 'working out a little'?
Haha... sounds like it would be better termed as 'working out moderately'.

Rep Power: 35 | | | 5 days a week MODERATE!? 6 days a week is called an "Overtrain split"... I'd say 5 is more than moderate. |

Rep Power: 41 | | | Actually I do company PT 5 days a week for an hour, martial arts once a week for an hour (right now....money well a little dry) and about and hour or so three times a week on my own...I actually didn't think that was all that much. At best moderate. |

Rep Power: 54 | | | I workout for an hour every other day (cardio + lifting), and MA two nights a week for two hours each. That's what I consider moderate.

Rep Power: 153 | | | Army PT frequency may not lead to overtraining. Depends on a lot of factors. Such as, what type of unit you're in (infantry vs. chairborne ranger), what type of commander you have (Maj. SmokesALot/Col RetiringSoon vs. Col."ColdSteel" YesIPriedTheBulletOutWithMyOwnHands), and what mission you are currently on (home station, field exercise, temp. duty, combat deployment, school).
At home station for example you'll tend to have PT every morning but the officer in charge has a program (or is supposed to have a program), so you don't run 3 miles every single day. At least one day is a "take it easy" workout. Or should be.
On TDY or deployment you may have no organized PT and you're on your own to stay in shape. Can be tough.

Rep Power: 41 | | | This commander is a 2nd or 3rd generation army officer. And seems to know almost nothing about fitness. She wants us to do the same basic routine (small differences day to day) Mon, wens, fri. is usually long run with about 20 mins of Pushups and situps before hand. Tues and Thurs and shorter runs (about 2 miles) with a half hour or so of Push ups and sit ups. Really boring always the same. Once and a while other things are added. This past month its seem like they finally added a few other exercises (the engine and crab walk), but basically its the same thing for 5 days straight. |

Rep Power: 35 | | | Pray tell how long you've been doing the routine? It doesn't sound so terrible for someone who might be in... not perfect shape, and if its only been going for a short period of time (a few months or so) its not like the whole routine would need a total revamp. |

Rep Power: 41 | | | Bout 3 or 4 months now. I just hate the guess work as to weather this is going to be a run day or a muscle failure day...and then they try and get both in. | |
