Vanilla ice cream, and ice cream in general, is one of the best ways to put massive amounts of empty calories and loads of sugar in your diet.
Right now, must of us will be around their twentys or thirtys. We can eat badly and make up for it with exercise because we have high metabolism. But a habit like that will get you in trouble when you hit middle age and metabolism slows down.
Bottom point: Cheat day, ice cream, whatever, fine. But if you drink a protein shake on a regular basis, like once-twice every day, or even after every workout, it will blow up on you. Maybe not today or tommorow, but it definitely will.

Rep Power: 46 | | | I think it depends on what kind of farmer they are. Most pig farmers I've met are fat.

Rep Power: 13 | | | Lol. Where I am from...Sand Springs, Oklahoma...everyone knows at least 2 or 3 farmers. Most of them are in very good shape until they start getting older. But then there are a few slim old farmers. But as they get older they tend to delegate more work to the young bucks. lol.
As for the shake...I put a couple of scoops of protein powder, some milk, peanut butter, and ice cubes in a blender. A lot of times, I will throw some fruit in there, maybe a raw egg or two. Sometimes I even put some ground coffe it there. I dont have a set recipe really...I will just throw whatever extra ingredients that sound good in the blender. It doesn't taste like a margarita mind ya...but discipline is important I think when it comes to a diet. And most protein supplements taste like shi* anyway.

Rep Power: 5 | | | Yeah, older farmers do get fat sometimes, but that's from having twelve kids to do all the work for them... I plan on staying in good shape though, but right now a little ice cream ain't gonna hurt me. In fact, I think we need lots of sugar every now and then to keep us energized. ^_^

Rep Power: 24 | | Hmmm....NO. Sugar is a bad way to get energized. You'll have a short term elevation of blood sugar levels, then they plummet. Might work in the short run, but in the long run, you need solid nutrition to stay fit. Check The real enemy is SUGAR. for more on sugar.

Rep Power: 13 | | | Yea, you just get a "sugar rush", then when you come down from it, you can become tired.

To tell you the truth I never really have noticed it either. That is just what I have always heard and read. So who knows.
