Rep Power: 14 | | | my diet IS breakfast? I meet for work at midnight chow at 11pm, but my body can never eat more than a few bites of food (maybe a little bit of vegatables, a fruit, and possibly a little meat). Then I go eat breakfast at 6a.m. I eat 2 or 3 egg burritos, a hashbrown, some fruit, some milk, some juice, and occasionally a blueberry muffin. Yes, that is quite a bit of food. But by the time I leave it is 1:00 p.m. and I don't want to eat a big lunch before I go to bed just a few hours later. I've heard of people just eating lunch or dinner type meals, anyone know the effects of only eating a big breakfast. I eat a lot of eggs in those burritos. Just curious; I don't know, it may even be more healthy than only eating a big lunch or dinner. Of course I would like to spread it out, but thats impossible. Any body know?

Rep Power: 153 | | | I don't think it will affect you too much because you're not eating that huge meal & going right to bed, you're still up and around for 6 more hours. Just watch the fat content, although I know that's hard with chow hall food.
Sounds like your body is getting adjusted to a different activity scheduling, working when you'd normally sleep, etc. In a couple months you will probably start feeling hungry at 11 p.m. and only so-so hungry at 6 a.m.
Is there any way you can sneak fruit out of the chow hall to snack on at work?

When I used to work all night in Oklahoma City, I would eat packets of regular oatmeal while we unloaded the trucks. I would open just a small hole in the corner, and I rolled it up a little and put it in my back pocket after I poured a little down the hatch.

and yeah, i eat gronola bar occasionally.
I guess really i mean is eggs every day for your main meal healthy? I just have a bad feeling too much eggs can have an adverse effect on a person.

Rep Power: 153 | | | Well, egg farts can have an adverse effect on everyone around you ...
If the eggs are fresh (not powdered eggs) there shouldn't be a problem eating them once a day. Compared to red meat or fried chicken, the cholesterol isn't bad and they're such a complete protein. Or you can have a "meatless/eggless" breakfast 2-3 times a week, eat fruit & oatmeal etc. but skip the eggs.
