Rep Power: 11 | | | whey protein Does anyone think there will be a difference between whey protein bought from the shop or whey by-product that is bought dirrectly from the cheese company. I think there might be more fat and cholesterol in the by-product.

Rep Power: 13 | | Plus, a lot of times they will add other things to it like vitamins, minerals, carbs...etc. They have one for everybody these days it seems like. The only one I have used for a while is Nitro Tech. I know it is kind of expensive, but not as much as some of the newer ones that are out now. And the results have been great too. I can't stand the bars though... ...go with the shakes for sure...

Rep Power: 13 | | Yea, that stuff is probably pretty rough. It probably does have a lot of fat in it. Which is ok if you dont take in as much from other sources. But if it is just an added meal or supplement, you could eventually gain weight from it. Protein should help you gain wait anyway, but the by-product is probably pretty bad. I am no nutritionist though.....

You should check out this stuff form Iron Mind called Just Protein. All the protein, none of the other fluff and sugars that can make you fat.

Rep Power: 5 | | | drink milk.. (by the way, the store bought stuff is better, there are about 9 - 10 grades of concentration / purity with weigh proteins, concentrate (store bought stuff), and stock feed, think continuum) |

Rep Power: 24 | | | Just remember to buy vanilla and skip the chocolate. The chocolate tastes horrible and doesn't really mix with anything, but the vanilla mixes great with lots of stuff. Consider this recipe:
1/2 cup nonfat milk
1/2 cup fat-free plain yogurt
1/2 frozen banana, peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons powdered protein supplement
1 1/2 tablespoons flax seed
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
Blend it all in the blender and enjoy!
