Well, if you are serious about eating it, which I guess you are because you already did, I would really suggest the omlette. Three eggs, fried beef, tomatoes, garlic, cheese, and a bit of milk. Fry it in olive oil for some good fats (not everybody likes it, sunflower oil is acceptable). Also, tomatoes and garlic are a bit sparse, so make yourself a fruitsalad for desert or eat a salad on the side, and I'd say you're eating healthy again.

I found that canola oil works well for frying eggs.

The only way to eat corned beef is hashed.

Here's a good recipe : First: you have to be near death from starvation, Second : each spoon full of the stuff should and must be followed by a full glass of favorite beverage (Note: choose beverage wisely) I reccommend water. This concludes the ultimate recipe. Caution: May cause vomiting for many...

SPAM is glorified here in central Texas. We just had another SPAM festival, held every year in Austin. There is a recipe contest with SPAM as the main ingredient, an eating contest, live music, all kinds of stuff. It is fun, and the recipes at these things are great. I think the goal is to mask the taste and look, and smell of SPAM as much as possible.

Oh, and at the risk of mating 2 different threads together: heat up your corned beef, and mix it up with some natto...yum

Slice your corned beef and fry it in vegetable oil with onions, garlic, and pumpkin greens. You can do this in the base of a bake'n'fry on the fire or on a primus. Chop your corn beef in chunks and boil it in a billy hung over the fire with sweet potato or taro and pumpkin greens. Mash up your corn beef with sweet potato or taro and make potato cakes to fry on the primus or over the fire with pumpkin leaves. Wrap your corn beef in tin foil and put it in the fire to roast with sweet potato or taro and corn. If you have no foil a bake'n'fry is good - cover the top with coals and leave. Shove your corn beef into a bamboo tube, stuff pumpkin greens in the top to seal, and cook at the edge of the fire.

When you have finished the corned beef you can use the tin as a digging tool, tear it up to make arrow heads, push it into the ground to make part of a path, carry water in it, or nail it to the side of your house as a decoration. You can also use it as a mirror to signal the village on the other side of the valley where potatos grow so you can vary the starch you eat with your corned beef. If you don't mind the odd lacerated finger you can rescue the key used to open the can, producing a useful ribbon of sharp edged metal, and a combination key/screwdriver/punch your little brother in the head tool.

Not that there was ever a time in my life when tins of corned beef were far too plentiful and ways to cook them far too few.
