Rep Power: 24 | | | I'm all for supplements. But: First you should get your diet intact, get as much protein, vitamins and minerals and unsatured fats as you can, and then you can start supplementing.
Personally, I use whey and multiproteins as well as creatine (on and off) and some multivitamins in the morning.

My finace is alergic to fish so I don't get to eat it that much anymore. Kinda sucks too because I really like it.

Rep Power: 36 | | | Sound advice, for sure, Philip. Supplements do NOTHING if you don't help them along with diet and excercise. There is no "wonder pill" that will give you washboard abs, great cholesterol, clear skin blah, blah, blah without you doing a little work on your end. Plenty of water, whole foods, excercise. Supplements are just that--a supplementation to an already healthy lifestyle.
That is what erks me about the advertising seen, well, all over. In any fitness mag, the promise of ridiculously fast results with before and after photos, lure money out of people's wallet. Most times, you will recognize the model in the before and after as a regular in Muscle & Fitness, Men's Health, etc. The before and after photos are actually in reverse order. They paid this dude a bucket of cash to get fat...heck, all he does is work out and pose for a living, you know? So, he can get slim again no problem. We as a society, (America, at least), are so obsessed with what we look like that the masses will cling desperately to any new pill/elixir that promises beauty in record time. That is why ephedra got such a bum rep. People abused, hoping to quicken the results...so people died. It is people's ignorance that leads to these mistakes. And the advertising fuels that ignorance. |

Rep Power: 36 | | | Allergic to fish? How horrible. You'll just have to sneak off to Red Lobster during that day so you can get your seafood fix.
My lady reacts badly to really spicy foods. So, of course, I can't eat that too much, although I love spicy foods. The things we do for love... |

She can eat shrimp but she only eats the shrimp spicy shrimp from longhorn.
That being said she doesn't like things that are too spicy either. My food life has gotten pretty bland...

Rep Power: 36 | | | Yeah, my food life is boring, too. Like I said, we have to eat what our better halves eat. I usually go out to eat once a week during my lunch hour. Then, I can indulge in the spicy foods that I usually can't eat at the house. |

If you do sneak out to eat sea food, don't be kissing on her. Might just transfer enough to get an allergic reaction.

To be sure, there was some real prompting to get me to try sticky beans that smell like feet...but, I'm a real fan, now. Mmmmm, fermented soy beans....

Rep Power: 100 | | | I have eaten it every day for breakfast since I got it. Try different combonations of hot stuff and spices. Thay have all been good and my energy has been elevated since I started. Now I do not know if it is in fact from the natto or simply beacuse prior to getting it my first food intake of the day was between 6p or 7p. |

Well, it could be both of those things, or it could be the infamous "placebo effect". At any rate, don't analyze it, just go with it, Fuzzy! This is my b'fast, almost everyday: 1 bowl of brown rice with scrambled eggs, (2egg whites & 1 whole egg), wakame w/flax oil and vinegar, and 1 pkg of natto, with mustard and green onions. Sometimes, I put some Tabasco on it. And twice a week, I have some salmon leftover from the night before, (we eat salmon at least twice a week). This is not something to hard to keep up, and I feel grrrreat!
