Actually, with the temperatures headed downward, some nice heated sake doesn't sound too bad right now! But tell me, oh wise one, what in your opinion is a good all-around brand, and where can I purchase it? (The Korean store in my square has a few bottles but their prices seem a bit high.)

Which Korean store?

Morning coffee is fine! Just don't count that into your water intake.

Thanks for clarifying that! I was kind of wondering if something was left out of the equation of your original post!

What I am getting out of all your responses so far is really a confirmation that I should try and up my intake some, but not to stress over specific percentages as long as I am close. I guess I was thinking since I was a few % below the MINIMUM, maybe I should be striving for more like 56 to 58%- the maximum end of the spectrum given by my scale charts.

According to your formula, I should be drinking 81 ounces a day (at least until I lose that last stubborn 12 pds.) I currently average about 64 ounces. Sometimes more on heavy workout days, sometimes only about 48 oz. on days where I get lazy about my intake.

That fits with what what Cam had mentioned about coffee being a diuretic, so there is a need to add some water to compensate.

So everything is kind of pointing to upping my water a bit more. *Sigh* Anyone else find it kind of hard to make sure you get that much water throughout the day?

Oh, and besides coffee and occassional (very occasional lately) wine, I really only drink water. Never been much of a soda drinker. I do mix a tad of the flavored waters into my water for flavor.

p.s. I think this is my last post with a red belt color......

Woohoo for the SiGung! (soon)

Seriously the easiest way to drink water is to have it handy. You'd be surprised how easy it is to down tons of water just by having it near where you work. Especially at a desk job. So if you do work one of those, have a water bottle or something refillable that you can keep near you - you'll be surprised how many times and how much you drink!

Ok, your most economical choice (while maintaining decent taste) would be to pick up a 1.5 liter bottle of Ozeki for $10.19, plus tax. It's a pretty big bottle and unless you assault your sake like I do, should last you a while.

If you don't have a tokuri (the smallish container you use to heat the sake) you can pick one up there pretty cheap as well.

Enjoy

Yep easiest way is to have a water bottle handy. And when it goes empty refill it. I have a 36Oz. water jug and I fill it a couple times throughout the day here at work. Then I go home and have a couple water bottles there I use.

After a little while your body gets used to the intake and the need to 'flow' so much will subside.
