Well best way is to study up in it. Everyone requires a different amount opf everything. But in general try for less refined carbs, less salt added at the table (cook with it not after wards it taste better IMO), fry only maybe every other week. Grill (Foreman or knockoff or charcole). Avoid processed foods andarticicial sugars. Replace those canned Veggies with frozen. Try to eat at least 2 hours or more before bed.

..restricting protein will eventually lead to scavenging of muscle tissue to provide for basic cellular repair and maintenance, remember, millions of cells are being replaced all the time. Biggest problem here is that for some reason the body likes to take cardiac muscle.... Too much protein and not enough carbs on the other hand makes for a more complicated and dirty metabolism (read; your muscles hurt and you stink). Many authorities also believe that this is also really bad for your kidneys as extra protein is filtered out with the urine.

Certain low carb Diets have also been linked to liver problems.
