I had to get iv fluids and missed three days of work. It was really scary and I have not been able to touch Moo goo Gai Pan since then. It used to be one of my favorite dishes.
On top of that, I had to go back to the ER because I was allergic to the anti-nausea medicine. I was watching a M*A*S*H episode where the persons tongue swelled up. At that time, I felt my tongue swelling up. I thought it was just me being a hypocondriac or something, but went to the mirror and 1 side of my tongue was really swollen! They gave me a shot and I went back home.

Rep Power: 149 | | | Haven't had a really bad case since college ... although that could have been the 6 mega-brews with Mexican Flag chasers that topped off that chimichanga-riffic experience.
I've traveled quite a bit but the only times I've gotten food poisoning (mild, thankfully) is on cruise ships.

Rep Power: 9 | | | Went to New York and a freind of mine dared compared the Chinese restaurant to one in Chicago igniting the man's anger. Needless to say he made a special Wong Ton Soup for him. He was sick for 3 days...violent shakes...throwing up.
When his food came 10 minutes after everyone's else we thought it not a good idea for him to eat it. He thought we were over-reacting. He was wrong.

Rep Power: 4 | | | Just had food poisioning from poor cooked chicken kebabs (about a week ago). First i thought 'wow this chicken is rather squishy, is it cooked?'.. i was convinced it was cooked. lesson learnt, never trust your girlfriend's barbeque skills.
Though suprisingly i loss weight from that .. went from 89kgs to 85kgs in just 2 days and stayed on it. Though i wouldnt suggest it as a weight loss idea. |

My girlfriends' son may be the victim of a tainted hotdog.
Then again...it could just be that he ate a hotdog.
