kombucha yummmmmmmmmmmm :)

just reaped the benefits of my first batch of komucha

i must say it didnt look that appetising whilst it was fermenting

but WOW

what a taste

I just tried this stuff a couple of days ago, was actually very good.
Where'd you get the culture?
How long did it take?

My first High Priestess had that tea. She was really into it and tried to get the whole coven into it too. I actually used it for awhile. It was good stuff once you get the tea away from the fermenting thing on top its pretty normal looking too!

She had nicknamed the tea fermenting thing on top "fred" It became a running joke in our group.

Keep us posted on whether or not you feel any health benefits. I am interested anyways.

got the culture off a friend

took three days to ferment

instend of normal tea i used roobosh (red bush)

and used jaggery instead of sugar

i felt great as soon as i drunk it

but that probably down to my exuberant enthusiastic side comming out

rather than the kombucha

dont know where you'd get it from

maybe a chinese food shop or japanese

or maybe even a russian shop

i got mine of a friend who in turn got it from a friend etc..........
