One time, I snuck some booze into a cup ( scotch ) and thought I was clever ( about 10 years old ), I downed the whole cup, and my face went red and I couldn't breathe for what seemed like forever.
Went straight back to the Oros till I was a bit older.

It is sad but true: I had a long and interesting chat with a couple of medical historian people about the shift from drinking small beer to drinking water. The bit relevant to this thread is that it wasn't the habit of not drinking filthy water that gave the uk its unique relationship to alcohol. Trust a south african not to know how to drink it correctly.
If you live down south where the sun shines, people have jobs, and the parks are attractive places to have a picnic, not the junky's location of choice, then it can be very pleasant when mixed correctly

Lager - either a half off tap or a bottle of elephant beer / carlesburg export extra strong
Cider - either a half off tap or a bottle of diamond white/special k
Blackcurrent juice.

Because it gets you spectacularly drunk (obviously)
There was talk of banning it as triggering violent behaviour by the way, before any one who hasn't drunk it goes off and experiments with a gallon of the stuff.

You notice if I asked if any one else remembered it rather than ranting about how great it is... if "favourite" means "most frequently ordered" it might well qualify. It does taste much better than it sounds, for what that's worth.
