Rep Power: 54 | | Sorry, here's a good resource. Chefs > Recipes
I'll give you some ideas, but first...
What types of produce are cheap and readily available to you?
Also do you have a health food store or local market to buy bulk grains like rice, quinoa and lentils?

Rep Power: 157 | | | cooking quick, simple, light, healthy at the moment.
fresh dover sole fried in butter with broccoli (fried at the same time), slice of spelt bread.
2) cubed organic chicken breast and broccoli in a saucepan with some olive oil, brown the chicken, add a tin of tomatoes and some spices (paprika is good) bacon is good if you eat it (I don't touch the stuff) and simmer for ten min.
3)Quiche and salad. If you go really fresh with the salad and mix up the ingredients, and limit dressing to quality olive oil you have a very healthy option.

Make mac n' cheese then stir in all the other ingredients while over stove top. Run the peas under hot water until thawed then add them in.
This is quick and tasty!

No, Dover.
It's a place in England with big white cliffs. Some call them the Cliffs of Insanity. Dover sole migrate up the cliffs, mate, and then jump off the cliffs back into the sea.
This makes it incredibly easy for fishermen to catch them, as all they have to do is anchor at the base of the cliffs and spread a big net in the air. Hence, Dover sole are cheap and plentiful.
/I think that's right

Rep Power: 20 | | | i have an oven, a deep fryer, an electric grill, a george foreman grill(wavy top and bottom plates that fold on top of each other), frying pan, casserole dish, oven pans, pots, toaster...coffee maker...so I'm interested in anything that can be made with those things. again, looking for easy meal ideas..not huge fans of veggies but want to start using them more, and i /need/ recipes..ie temps and settings and lengths to cook things please! i like pasta but don't really know anything more than boil water, put noodles in, wait till they are soft, drain, poor sauce from sauce jar on pasta.. anything else you have to make different pastas would be great. But keep everything coming I'm sure we're all getting new stuff..at least I am!

Rep Power: 54 | | | Is your toaster an oven too? Those are great for charring veggies for use in recipes.
Just like in kf, start with basics. When you have solid basics, everything comes easier.
For example, do all your prep first if possible. The stuff you will add last/the most delicate ingredients, chop first and put everything in the same bowl in reverse order.
This way the stuff you will use first will be on top. Small things like this save you much time/space.
Do you like stew?

Rep Power: 150 | | You can do a lot with that, especially bulk cooking:
- Arroz con pollo (chicken and rice, it don't get any more basic -- or better -- than that)
- Navy bean soup
- White bean soup with escarole
- Mac & cheese
- Baked squash
- Baked sweet potatoes (I like 'em with butter, salt & pepper but if you're on a strict diet, use I Can't Believe It's Not Butter)
- Boiled eggs (make several, store in fridge, grab one on your way out the door to work each morning)
- Lasagna (meat, veggie, tofu -- any filling you want, plus cheese -- buy the no-cook lasagna noodles so all you have to do is layer the pan)
- Roast chicken
- Chicken soup (made from the remains of the roast chicken)
Google the recipes or hit RecipeSource: Your Source for Recipes on the Internet -- which has every recipe you can think of.
The hubby & I usually do all the prep and bulk cooking on Sunday. Then we take turns putting dinner together during the week while the other one does the dishes.
Also, quart-size freezer bags are really versatile for storing cooked or uncooked foods. Like, I buy hamburger in bulk -- about 5 lbs. -- every 2 months, and break it into 1-lb. sections, put in bags & freeze.
