Thats a pretty big pot of chili. I'd say about 8 big bowls or maybe 10 medium size bowls of chili. Remember you can always add another can of tomato sauce or tomato paste to it. Just adjust the spices to taste. I like putting either angel hair pasta or elbow macaroni in it to make it more filling and last longer.

No problem. Do you like seafood? If so here is a VERY simple recipe for a Crab Bisque soup.

1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of tomato soup
1 1/2 can of milk
1 package of shredded immitation crab meat or real crab meat
1 tea spoon of papprika

Whisk the 2 cans of soups and the milk together and heat. Then add the shredded crab meat and papprika. Salt and pepper to taste.

This is a Paula Dean recipe from her cook book.

Three or four large cloves should be fine.
Garlic changes quite a bit as it cooks. Raw it is very strong and gets progressively milder and slightly nutty as it cooks until as it gets burned it will get bitter.
So if you want a stronger flavor, do not let the garlic cook too long before you add the tomato etc. cooling the stew.

does anyone have an easy lasagna recipe? Jamie really wants me to make one but all the ones I hear about are hard to do. By the way I can't go on other sites or open links to other sites from the computer I use so if you can please write out/copy and paste good recipes you find other places and just list where you found them from or even have the link too for other people that would be really helpful for me. sorry to be a pain! PS this does mean that I didnt get to look at any of the recipes earlier in the thread because they were all links.

Lasagna is a little labor intensive...
The quick and easy ways to make it pale in comparison to the complicated (and $$$) ones.
It would be a disservice to you to suggest anything besides a real one.

But here goes anyway...

Cheap and easy lasagna

1+ lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced small
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (32 oz) thick spaghetti sauce
1 1/2 cups water
2 eggs
1 tub ricotta cheese, about 1 lb
1 lb mozzrella, set aside a little for the top, about 1 cup
1/2 cup grated Parmesan, set aside a little for the top, about 2 Tbs
salt and pepper
8-12 oz uncooked lasagna noodle
9"x13"x2" minimum pan size

Fry the beef with the onion, garlic and a dash of salt and pepper.
Stir in sauce and 1 cup water and set aside.
If it's really oily, drain most of it off before you add the sauce,
but put a couple Tbs in the 9x13 pan first.

Mix the eggs, cheese (except for a cup of mozzarella, and a good sprinkle of the Parmesan), 1/2 cup water in a bowl.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Start layering the pan with sauce, then noodle (say three or four of them) then cheese mix,
and repeat.
Cover with foil, bake for about 50-60 min.
Carefully remove foil and add remaining cheese.
Bake about 10 min. more, and let it cool a little before cutting.

I'll post a better one later, i'm getting hungry...

Take away the beef and switch it with feta and spinach.
And you got a delicious Vegetarian lasagna

Always gag when there is spinich in something regardless. I have even gag when I didnt know it was there. Feta (as dairy does) has me sick normally. I can only have Dairy sparingly which sucks cause I love pizza and ice cream.

No, yes, that's why all the water. 4-6, yes, won't taste funny.
Just get a sauce you like and it'll be hard to go wrong...
