Rep Power: 31 | | | careful on the water you drink though.
Tap water CAN be better than store bought water that has solvents in it, and has been sitting still for some time.
I drink store bought filtered water though because our tap water is terrible.
Wherever you live, try to find the source of your tap water, and the pipes it is moving through, because that water drags along every bit of lead, copper, bacteria, bits of plastic, rust, and every thing that can bypass the filtration system.
Anyone ever opened the faucet nozzle just to see a bunch of black balls Much of that is the above stuff ^. COuld be plenty of other things, but if you drink tap water, be sure you know where it comes from and where it goes - just as you should know where you came from, and where you are going.

Rep Power: 41 | | | Yep, balance the li (fire) with the kan (water). Increase the li to the point that yin & yang are in harmony. Yin & yang are the results (state), kan & li are the methods. More often than not, the body is too yang, because li is excess. Balance it with kan to restore harmony.

Rep Power: 100 | | | most people I know should drink a *lot* more water than they do now...
studies show time after time that western people (and americans are on top of the list) are very much dehydrated...
I do agree with JKD327, there are a lot of different levels of quality in water outthere
as with anything: know what you are putting into your body!!
and what with people who drink a lot of coffee, alcohol, people who use suppliments like creatine or use fatburners...
every year some (highschool) athletes die because they used supstances, but forgot to drink enough water!!!!
drink water...
now!

Rep Power: 16 | | | I try to drink 3 litres of water minimum a day. Our water isn't too good so I use a filter jug to filter out all of the crap from the water. Seems to work OK.

Rep Power: 24 | | | Well, you will hardly find better tap water then in Switzerland. But I read about somebody who had to drink to join a studentclub thingy and almost died from it. And he was drinking water, not alcohol. So like fireinthewater said, don't flush out your system too much.

You know how water flushes out lactic acid in your muscles Well, it can do the same thing with important minerals that are transported through your blood if you drink too much...at least that was the explanation the newspaper printed.

Rep Power: 0 | | According to research I have done independently...64 ounces of water a day should be sufficient to maintain proper health...obviously diet will affect this too...if you eat a lot of sodium or sugars...you most likely will find yourself being thirsty more...
I took a challenge from a friend of mine about drinking more water and less tea. coffee, pop...etc...
I lost about 8 pounds in one week after I quit drinking pop...
I steadily lost a total of about 18 pounds from just drinking 64 ounces of water a day...I did not increase or decrease my regular exercise or habits...
I can safely say...I felt so much better...less muscle aches and tension...better over all stamina too...
That's my two cents
