I start
1 cup fruit juice (such as orange, cranberry or apple)
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
One 8-ounce carton vanilla low-fat yogurt
2/3 cup plain old fashioned, uncooked oatmeal
1 cup ice cubes
Sugar to taste
Place all ingredients except ice in blender container.
Cover; blend on HIGH speed about 2 minutes or until smooth.
Gradually add ice; blend on HIGH speed an additional minute or until smooth.

MEATBALLS
1 pound ground turkey
3/4 cup oatmeal
2 tablespoons lite soy sauce
1 tablespoon dry sherry (optional)
2 teaspoons sesame oil (optional)
1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
SOUP
Two 14-1/2-ounce cans reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 cup water
1-1/2 cups halved pea pods or one 6-ounce package frozen pea pods, thawed, cut in half
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1-1/2 cups bean sprouts
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
Spray rack of broiler pan with cooking spray or oil lightly.
In large bowl, combine meatball ingredients; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into 1-inch meatballs; place on rack of broiler pan.
Broil 6 to 8 inches from heat 7 to 10 minutes or until cooked through.
In 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven, combine meatballs with chicken broth and water; bring to a boil over high heat. Add pea pods and carrot; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Turn off heat; add bean sprouts and green onion. Serve immediately.

and my children put A TON OF m&m in their oatmeal - that was before I found out.

I eat oatmeal like twice a day, every day (try to eat like 6 to 8 times a day)
so I can use some variation here

Rep Power: 32 | | | Oatmeal Banana Loaf Makes 3 small loaves
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1 cup oatmeal
2/3 cup nonfat powdered milk
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp vanilla
5 tsp splenda
8 egg whites
2 scoops protein powder
2 pureed bananas
2 Tbs chopped nuts (optional)
Mix all ingredients together and divide into 3 small loaf pans. Spray the pans with pam first. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes if pans are dark or non-stick. Bake for 30 minutes if glass.
MMMMM...mouth is alive all running inside and I'm hungry like the wolf...when I think of this one!!  |

2 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
2 scoops chocolate protein powder
1 mashed banana
1 tsp. Vanilla
5 pkgs. Equal sugar substitute
Oven heated to 400 deg. Mix all the ingredients together. Coat a 6-cup muffin tin with cooking spray. Spoon mixture into cups. Makes exactly 6 muffins. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool for a couple minutes before turning out. Enjoy 2 for a meal. Great to bake ahead and freeze.
Great for snacks and you can make the batches and freeze them for later times. |

1/2 c blueberries
1 Tbl. sp. sliced almonds
1 Tbl. sp. crushed flax seed
1/4 c milk
