Root beer ON TAP???That wouldn't be the "original" kind of root beer, that you need to show I.D. to purchase, would it?I haven't seen that stuff since my late grandfather used to brew it!
Anyone heard of Johnny Rockets?I saw it in a mall in Providence;it was yet another 50's themed outlet with the swivel stools, little jukebox consoles along the counter, and the employees all wore the soda-fountain bow ties and hats.I didn't eat there because the line was insanely long.Could it have been all that good?

There was also one on a cruise ship I went on a couple years ago, but the line was always insane so I never got into it.

Rep Power: 10 | | | yeah, it's a decent chain. They have them all over california. In my exprience the milkshakes are the best thing on the menu. I've actually had a date where we went out to dinner, and then went to Johnny Rockets just for the milkshake.

I'm not familiar with the "original" kind, didn't need my ID to get it, but there is no root beer that even compares to how delicious it was, one sip and it's like you died and went to heaven!!!!
After that, can't go back to anything in a can/bottle |

Rep Power: 153 | | | Hmm, "original" doesn't have alcohol, it does use yeast and sugar to create the carbon dioxide but the fermentation process is only a couple hours rather than a couple weeks. This doesn't give enough time to create alcohol.
However it's a fast ferment process and if the mix is off just a bit you get a lot of broken bottles.
But yeah -- it's awesome esp. next to a cheeseburger.

Rep Power: 19 | | | Years ago I tried this organic dried veggie substitute to meat called "Nature's Burger",introduced to me by a new ager friend. It was made of all natural ingredients, and you add hot water to a concoction, form patties from the mush, and fry it either on a skillet or in oil.It wasn't bad with barbecue sauce, but nothing like beef.More like a soft trail mix.

I was always partial to Gardenburger. And this one restaurant in Orlando used to make its own veggie burgers, they were just awesome. Didn't taste like a burger, just tasted really good and filling.
