Beer and Training

In my opinion, it really matters on the person and what they are trying to accomplish. Is beer going to hinder your ability to do martial arts yes it will. however, for MOST people, the hinderance is so small you can't even notice. A couple of weeks ago I got drunk and then went to a Mui Tai seminar the next morning. I noticed a difference in my stamina. Some people loose a little focus. The bottem line is yes it does effect you, however, not by much. I would never get rid of something I loved so much unless I was completely overly obsessed with being a perfect martial artist. Not worth giving up in my opinion. Anyone want to come over and drink

An additional side note: at the last Brazilian Jujitsu seminar my friend went to one of the Gracie brothers was there teaching, and was still a little intoxicated from the night before

Back in the younger days, some of my best workouts would be when I was really hungover. Now a hangover lasts 5 days and just makes driving to work that much more horrible.

Beer is for fun nothing more and nothing less, it damages your brains and your liver... Sometimes beer is good for your blood, but to much over a long time, is not good for your body and spirit....

Chief I don't say that you shouldn't drik beer anymore, but it's better that you don't drink beer, its better for you body, you won't get a beerbelly and such, its not only good for yourself but also for the ladies ... and I dont like being drunk, i dont have myself undercontroll anymore and that is not good because then you're going to make wrong moves... By the way beer is a harddrug, thats a fact

But I'm not denieing that i dont like beer
