just look into warrior diet then.. it's better..plus take some supplements and create some snack bars when you r on home or sundays..
You can also pockets nuts, almonds, cashews, walnut etc etc.. and hav it | “ | Also the one meal a day, In theory, is not optimal for weight loss due to the fact the body will tend to store it because of the eating periods are so far apart thus more optimal for sustaining current body fat percentage. | ” | |
If you follow warrior diet properly, it won't let you gain excess fat. and it's quite good with weight loss.
llike I said I tried it last yr... and it gave me impressive result. but cuz of 1 time eating you need to care of ur diet otherwise you'll left with no energy.

Rep Power: 37 | | | This is the one I got from John berardi..
************************************
PROTIEN BARS
***********************************
8 scoops chocolate
whey protein powder
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup graham cracker
crumbs
1/4 cup cocoa powder,
unsweetened
1/3 cup malt-sweetened
chocolate chips
1/2 cup granulated
Splenda (or a few
packets)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 to 3/4 cup
unsweetened applesauce
Prep Time 25 minutes
Difficulty Level Easy
Servings 8
Instructions
In a dry blender, process 1 cup of the rolled oats into flour. Add the oat flour to the remaining cup of rolled oats in a large bowl, and mix with the remaining dry ingredients. After the dry ingredients are thoroughly mixed together, add 1/2 cup of the applesauce and stir. If mixture is too dry, add more applesauce 1 tbsp at a time. It will seem like there is not enough applesauce at first, but keep stirring, and it will mix. Try to use as little applesauce as possible, because its easy to make the mixture
too saucy.
Cut 8 squares of aluminum foil, about 6x 10 inches each. Lightly coat the interior with a olive oil olive oil cooking spray. Spoon out an equal portion of the mixture onto each foil square, and roll them into a bar shape. I fold them like tamales, folding the ends
over as well.
Bake the bars in the foil in a preheated oven at 350-degrees F, for 15-18 minutes. *Be sure not to overcook*
************************************
PROTIEN PAN CAKES
***********************************
1 cup whole wheat
pancake mix (any
variety will do, as long
as its whole wheat)
2 heaping scoops of
vanilla whey protein
powder
3/4 cup lowfat cottage
cheese
3 egg whites (1/2 cup)
3 tbsp flax seeds
1/4 cup water
Prep Time 20 minutes
Difficulty Level Easy
Servings 2
Instructions
Place the egg whites, cottage cheese, flax seeds and water in a blender and process until smooth. Mix the wet ingredients together with the pancake mix and protein powder in a large bowl.
Cook the pancakes any size you like them in a skillet coated with olive oil cooking spray over mediumlow heat. After pouring the pancake batter into the skillet, they will be ready to flip after bubbles form around the edges (about 5 minutes).

Re: the WARRIOR diet.
Here's my main problem with it: eating fruit all day is simple carbs. Complex carbs are better for sustained energy and weight loss, so eating that much fruit, while great for the vitamins and nutrients, sucks for energy, it'll spike up and down.
There's also no source of protein. You need protein throughout the day, especially when training, so the body can constantly heal itself. It's true, repeairing is done much more during the night, but you still heal and build muscle during the day. This is why bodybuilders stress the pre/post workout protein shake.
The warrior diet sounds great for a diet that keeps you on your toes and primed to train throughout the day, you're hungry after all. But it doesn't seem prime for weight loss, muscle gain, high metabolisms, or overall health.

Rep Power: 0 | | my boyfriend has been doing the warrior diet for years and it works.....it's like intermitten fasting....my boyfriend has been doing martial arts for 7 years and he's a personal training at a rehabilitaion center. before being a marial artist he was a body builder so he's tried every diet out there. nothing gave him more energy and made him leaner than the warrior diet. the diet works! it may not be the mainstream belief, but it works. he still does it to this day even with his training sessions during the day and the both of us training in the evening. sometimes he doesn't get to eat until 8:30 and he eats anything, and i mean anything, he wants....and he eats alot. just one meal at night.... some people think this diet is crazy, like i use to, but it gives you more energy during the day. you get less sleepy, plus you get lean. you see, you have to give your body some time to clense itself (which is the fasting during the day) so that when you do actually put any food in your body, your body actually uses up all the food in your body efficiently. if you ever have the opportunity to read the book, read...it may seem like a crazy diet, but it works.
i don't do the true warrior diet, but because i see how much more energy my boyfriend has, i no longer have breakfast in the morning and only have a small salad for lunch. my main meal is dinner.... since eating this way, i have more energy during the day and i don't feel sleepy during the afternoons like i use to.
the warrior diet works.
just hang in there.... you might want to start by not eating breakfast....for a week, then later push your lunch later. eventually only have dinner... it's hard to be on this diet if you are around people who are always eating...you may have to adjust being around food to help you in the beginning....
if you get hungry, you can have nuts and maybe some raisins to help you get throught the day...that's a good way to start.

Rep Power: 153 | | | Skip breakfast?!? Absolutely not.
Breakfast primes your metabolism for the rest of the day. And in the winter up here, you need every ounce of energy you can generate to stay warm. It's better to eat small meals/snacks throughout the day to maintain energy, and avoid processed foods as much as possible.

Rep Power: 0 | | i use to think that too. have you read the warrior diet? right now, there are 2 other people at my studio that are trying this same diet and they have more energy than ever... it was hard for them at first....they realized that they are "less" hungry during the day a have "more" energy than ever before. i know that the diet sounds crazy, but... people in india and middle east fast during the day and eat at the night.... many people eat this way, but they are not westerners. it's hard for a lot of people, especially the western world, to think that you can eat this way.... i was one of them... | “ | Originally

I dunno about India, that's tkdwarrior's territory, but they do have breakfast there so it's not unheard of.
In the middle east the "fast" is observed during Ramadan which is only about a month long. It is an expression of faith and sacrifice and therefore it is seen as a hard thing to do. It is not a normal diet.
In many hot parts of the world the morning meal is light, the midday meal is the largest meal (with a nice rest afterward), and the evening meal is small. The meals are geared around the weather, not the waistline.
In England, many people eat mushy peas. It's hard for a lot of people, especially in the U.S., to think that you can eat this way. I was one of them. But since I started the mushy peas diet -- excuse me, I have to run to the bathroom again--

Rep Power: 0 | | my boyfriend started the warrior diet initially to get lean. but now, he does it because of the way it makes him feel throughout the day and his workout. i tried it because my boyfriend suggested it would help elilminate my tiredness/sluggishness during the afternoon.
on sundays the advance class works out for four long hours (the whole bit-bag work, stance work...you're sweating like crazy ), 10 a.m.-2:00 a.m.(w/only one 10 min. break ) without breakfast or lunch. i get a better workout-i'm more alert and have much more energy. can you believe it?
