Some New Clips

Hi all,

here are some new clips by alex Kozma, instructing his students in Thailand on Monkey and dragon Xing Yi methods.

In the monkey, some of these apps are vs knife attack, Alex used a very short round hardwood stick , used for massage, but easily put in to the monkey form and useage.

a good hidden weapon , if hitting vital areas, see the reaction with small effort.

'Monkey and Dragon from Xingyiquan'

The animals add great agility to the body motion of
the Xingyiquan fighter, taking the forces found in the
five fists and expanding them into myriad dynamics
such as jumping, falling, ground work, spinning
etc....

Monkey is excellent for giving a looseness and
naturalness to the Xingyiquan man with the potential
to strike with very fast multiple palm slaps/finger
strikes to vital areas whilst shrinking the body away
from an incoming weapons, when adding short / hidden
weapons (such as the very short stick seen here) the
potential for serious damage with minimal effort
increases dramatically. The footwork found in this
method is very useful for evasion whilst leaving one
leg free to kick/ trap/ sweep/knee.

Dragon adds a great sense of lightness and heavy
descending power to the Xingyiquan man's repertoire,
and the ability to cover a long distance in a moment
to catch a retreating enemy. It can be applied from
side on standing, coiled sitting or prone as seen here.

Unfortunately Alex is stopping teaching now. He is focusing on his own practice.

“	hi everyone these clips were taken at the end of several months retreat at the camp in Thailand, it's been good, but time to wind it down now. i feel we are in a good time for martial arts, the deep skill is rare but there are a few real ones out there who can be found if you look a bit and can eat the bitter. i taught for ten years and it's been joyful to see the guys grow in the arts. but to learn and teach as i have with my teachers and students - living together - it demands a lot on many levels. teaching and personal practice are two very different things , and many teachers lose on the second and cannot go further . i need the second much more now.	”
