I've finally found a Hsing Yi and Ba Gua teacher!
We've met on a German MA discussion board. He runs a small school in the greater Düsseldorf area and contacted me for an introductory seminar I should give for his students. He likes them to 'think outside the box' and frequently exposes them to other arts by inviting guest teachers.
Since this was a small, rather informal seminar and I don't want to make money with my teaching, we decided that in compensation for my seminar, he'll teach an introductory seminar on Xing Yi to me and some guys from my group.
And boy was this great! I extremely pleased with his way of teaching and really impressed with his skill. Plus, he's a great guy to be around.
After the weekend was over we talked a bit about doing similar things again in the future and I mentioned that I'd love to learn more, but that my job and the distance would prevent me from showing up for the regular classes.
Well, to cut things short, we agreed that I'll visit him every other Saturday or so (as time permits) and work on the stuff he teaches me at home. We'll start with Xing Yi first and will add Ba Gua somewhat later in the future.
This is GREAT!
I just felt like sharing this.
Prepare to be bombarded with questions.
Cheers,
Jörg
