Rep Power: 0 | | | Al-Waalee Muhammad is great, but if you want to get to the source, try Dr. Her Yue Wong. That was Al-Waalee's first teacher (he has a Black belt/lifetime membership with the Ching Yi Kung Fu Association - #37). Dr. Wong takes on a few private students each year and will teach you any of the arts that are available through the association. His prices for private one-on-one lessons are not much more than if you were in a local school...a very good deal, since you would be driving for a few hours each time you had a lesson.
Dr. Wong has a couple of other students that have reached the Black belt/instructor level in the Houston area that may be willing to teach you also.....but if I was as close to Houston as you...I would go with Dr. Wong! He also holds seminars at the yearly Chinese Martial arts festival that is put on every year in Austin by Master Shifu Huang. You could contact Master Huang for teachers in that area....he has probably had contact with most.
Good luck | |
