Hsing-I or Pa Kua in Alabama

Hi everyone,

I have been looking for a Hsing-I, Pa Kua, or Tai Chi teacher in the central Alabama area for awhile now. I’ve had no luck finding Hsing-I or Pa Kua and the Tai Chi classes I’ve found are typically geared toward seniors. Does anyone know of a good teacher in the area? I don’t mind a commute if it means I can find a good teacher. Matter of fact I don’t mind driving all the way to Atlanta, GA if that is what it takes. Atlanta is a 2 hour trip from where I am so it is not optimal but I’ll do what I have to. I know there are some schools there but considering the drive I’d like to see if anyone knows someone closer. Not to mention I’d like recommendations on good schools before I start driving to and fro.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know how close this is to you, but this is one option.

Otherwise ask PlumDragon, he's in Alabama and might know some places...

Oh THAT'S how that works!

Master Chang teaches xing yi, bagua, and tai chi in Huntsville, AL, probably about an hour north of you. Classes are once a week, 3 hours on Saturday. It is not expensive but his focus is more on form work than it is on "fighting". If you want more details you are welcome to contact me. Allen Pittman is a xing yi guy you might consider looking up in Atlanta. There are also a variety of other internal teachers in the Atlanta area.
