Like I said, hardly any of the HISTORICAL types of Chinese sabers are being produced, only a couple of kinds out of many dozens of major variations (or as my friend says, "only the stupid fat bladed ones")......... I point this out, because the Chinese don't need to be inspired by the Katana to create techniques for a long two handed saber, they have plenty of there own!

Unfortunatley, a Kat is as probably as close to a Miao Dao or other long two handed sabers as you will come that isn't an oxtail type blade. There's no reason you can't apply Chinese techniques to a Katana after all it's just a freakin' two handed saber.......(waits for the Nihon lovers to throw rotten fruit).............I mean, hey they will complain about it, but what are they gonna DO about it
