Guys this is exactly what I have been looking for.
As I said before. I have a Sword set using the Katana. I was told that is was Bok leen Pai and based on very old chinese sword. When I learned it there was no info on the other kinds of Chinese swords except for what was heard from Grandmaster PAi. A long single edged two handed sword.

I would venture to say that Grandmaster Pai having extensive knowlege of kendo & Kenjutsu might have interpreted or added some (kenjutsuesque) movements to the form he did.
It was said that Gm Pai was very fond of the sword and carried one in combat in the korean war.

Though Japanese swordsmen would proabably cringe at the sight of some of things in the form.

The koreans have their own variant on the katana sword, and have their own art that uses it. Read it some time ago in a 'budo' or 'blackbelt' magazine.

Like I said, hardly any of the HISTORICAL types of Chinese sabers are being produced, only a couple of kinds out of many dozens of major variations (or as my friend says, "only the stupid fat bladed ones")......... I point this out, because the Chinese don't need to be inspired by the Katana to create techniques for a long two handed saber, they have plenty of there own!

Though Japanese swordsmen would proabably cringe at the sight of some of things in the form.

Unfortunatley, a Kat is as probably as close to a Miao Dao or other long two handed sabers as you will come that isn't an oxtail type blade. There's no reason you can't apply Chinese techniques to a Katana after all it's just a freakin' two handed saber.......(waits for the Nihon lovers to throw rotten fruit).............I mean, hey they will complain about it, but what are they gonna DO about it
