Thanks for your reply sammygirl. You're right. I guess I do get a little excited and tend to start writing a novel, sorry. It's just that using the arts in a responsible way to defend oneself is a passion of mind. This passion is increased by the number of bullies and predators in our society. Nevertheless, I want you to do me a favor. When i get out of control, throw a net over me! Thanks again.

After consideration

I find violence a good motivator.
Not just sparring - but sparring that hurts.
Whapping someone in the leg who will not stand still in standing-still push hands, I feel, is a good idea.
They learn quickly, and, like a cow - mild and only socially questionable (but not physically remarkable) pain helps to keep them alert.

I've found, through our method of training anyways.... that the weak are widdled out through training. Most of the times, they never last to actually touch hands. What a shame.....
