Maybe smaller text size and more graphics Pictures are worth 1000 words right!
But it looks like you are on the right track!

Rep Power: 16 | | | Only thing I didn't like was the singling out of Wado Ryu Karate in your FAQ section! The Wado I train in is not emphasised as a sport. Nor do we pull our punches!
That was my only critisism of the site though (not that i'm biased). It looked good other than that.

Rep Power: 81 | | | Actually I really liked it. Its a great base to build on a little more functionality. Just a couple more images, Photo or Vid page.
Maybe Bold on the mouseover, instead of the underscore. Fontsize was perfect. people dont want to strain to read, but any larger will look a little childish.
Most importantly I really liked the content. Good straight forward info.

Rep Power: 48 | | | I love the color and text size. There is a marketing psychology regarding the "white space". It's all good. My daughter would like to see ..."some freaky kung fu dude flying in from the corner". OK, that may be a bit much, but a nice demo photo of your bad self would be great.

Rep Power: 153 | | just to pull this thread slightly off topic ... regarding marketing psychology. I was touring a local college's mass comm dept. and they showed us the marketing research lab. They have one section where they bring in people to just surf the net for a couple hours ... what they don't know is there's a device in the monitor that tracks their eye movements as they surf. Where the eyes land first is where the marketeers will recommend putting advertising on a web page.
cool ... and somewhat sinister. |

Rep Power: 48 | | | Marketing psychology is very big here at the U of A. I agree, very sinister indeed.

Rep Power: 27 | | | "Martial arts for women
Women are more than welcome to train with us. However it is forewarned that the martial arts we practice are dissimilar to the 'norm' of todays' martial arts which are trained as a sport. Both Xing Yi and Kenpo will hurt, and you should be aware of that. Whilst learning the art is a painful process, it has been shown that women are just as capable - if not more so - than their male counterparts. Unlike other arts both Xing Yi and Kenpo do not need bulging muscles to be any good at them."
Uh, I will take all heat this causes, but, just a little bit on the degrading side
"Both Xing Yi and Kenpo will hurt, and you should be aware of that."
ok so what kind of stupid chicks have been in your school that don't expect anysort of pain I mean if they are lookin into MA I'm sure they realize that there is gonna be a little but of hurtin from time to time. Sorry, but I'm slightly offened that the first thing mentioned on the area for women is..."hey, you're gonna get hurt sweetie"
"Whilst learning the art is a painful process, it has been shown that women are just as capable - if not more so - than their male counterparts. "
Ok, I haven't even been in the situation yet but from what I hear....one sentence can cover that "WE HAVE BABIES!"
"Unlike other arts both Xing Yi and Kenpo do not need bulging muscles to be any good at them."
Now that I understand, lots of chicks are afraid to wind up like Chyna from WWF. Even thought without steroids it's almost impossible.
Sorry, pms here and for some reason it sounds like there is some talking down to the ladies. I'm sure you probaly get some housewives with nothing better to do then spend their hubbie's cash and decide to "Learn Karate". I'm sure you've dealt w/quite a few like that but damn, I'd be ticked if I was searching for schools and read that on a website. That paragraph can be summed up by "Hey there sweetkins, you can play with the big boys, just be careful and know that you're little self can get hurtsies"
Ok, I'm done.

Rep Power: 38 | | | Actually I was trying to talk up the ladies, since they do a better job at kicking the **** outta their male buddies... | |
