Hello, im new here... Recently i became a Xing Yi Fanatic, so pardon me if you see me babbling endlessly about it being the best martial art (in my opinion, and im sure in all of you xing yi practitioners too).
Anyways, i would like to ask a couple of things:
1. Is there anyone here from israel who is practicing Xing Yi Chuan
2. Where can i get a teacher in israel who is good and learned from a real Xing Yi Master
3. Tell me a little of what you think are the pros and cons of Xing Yi! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Well, im thinking to myself, Xing Yi is a linear martial art, so... is baguazhang superior to it Since in bagua you circle and evade the enemy, so if a xing yi vs bagua, the bagua opponent will win please comment!
P.S: Can anyone tell me where to get some fighting clip with xing yi It would be greatly appreciated!

Rep Power: 100 | | | People sometimes accuse Wing Chun of being limited to simple forward and back movements because of it's 'centre line' principle, but this displays a lack of understanding as the style doesn't limit you to moving forward and back only- it utilises a centre line cover. I don't know but I would imagine much the same is true of Hsing I. |

if you go to http://www.whitecraneinstitute.com/a...mbat/index.htm you will find some videos. the applications section is mainly tzuranmen. But if you go to styles, hsing i - you will be able to download some BIG but good videos of the 5 elements n some other stuff.
They are some of the best displays of hsing I form around on the Net IMO.
Smooth, Connected and direct.
If you go to www.hsing-i.com (i think) there is some application of Hsing i on there.
For Hsing I in actual fights not really sure there are any vids around of this. But www.blacktaoist.com has some stuff - there might be some sparry type stuff there.
The problem with hsing i is that its real hard to spar with! mainly cause the strikes are so heavy. even doing them soft with good alignment is very painful! Hsing I looks for one big HIT - not to spar with the opponent!
hope this gives you some good resources.
Also i would recomend Emptyflower. There are alot of fools on there but some guys with lots of knowledge also.
