Hi all,
Here is a Video Clip of my Hsing I and Ba gua teacher Alex Kozma applying some Hsing I.
For the record - he hit me with one of those Tsuans - in the nipple  - and it is still brused after 3 weeks! Hence why his partner in this clip is flying away!!

and yeh those hits are real n they hurt a bunch! Alex is a really skilled Hsing I guy. Those hits dont lok much cause he doesnt wind up to them, but he doesnt need to - his structure is so strong its like walking into a stake or a pole rooted deep into the ground. then add to this a slight forward movement of the stake with a twist and big short range release of power from the tendons. n you go back pretty fast.
This was not free sparring - just some info from the VCD. There was no helping out though. Alex hates it when you co-oporate.
No Ba gua there - the twisting etc was Heng Chuan.
I didnt put the sound on - maybe i will add that! Cheers

Rep Power: 0 | | | I am sure he is strong, and he looked very fast, but you can't tell me there was no cooperation.
Unless of course you learn to freeze at the end of each movement. The uke came in the same way each time and froze after the first move to be led into the second move. It was a great video, and very well filmed to show the moves, but I don't for a minute believe that the guy in white was a resisting opponent.
It looked to me like a well-filmed instructional.
Filming a good instructional on a move requires cooperation, and the fact that the guy in white was cooperating in no way diminishes the moves themselves, or either practitioner. |

I didnt say there was NO co-opporation!! This was not a full contact FREE fighting clip mate!!
This was just a few snippets of the VCD - and basically he was just showing some applications of the elements.
The guy in the white was basically throwing a punch. then Alex was demoing some moves to deal with it. at the end of the clip He throws a bunch of faster punches - and alex demonstrates how to attack the attacking arm.
My experience with alex is that if you attack and leave you arm there for no reason when going for it - he will disable it and it will hurt!
I have really gone for alex a few times and have been put down in well under a second. Thats why i decided to train with him - He really has some power behind his moves! Wouldnt make good video though, too fast!!!
By not co-oporating i ment that when he flys back - this is not for effect - this is because he has been hit with a good strike.

It's clear that the strikes hurt. The look on the face of the guy in white by the end is priceless. He's almost wincing before he gets hit. Not that I blame him. |

that's the fun part *and* the hard part of making these kinda clips...
we used different guys ( "yeah I'm an experienced fighter") in the past
and most of the time only the first two or three shots are worty...
after that people start to duck before punches land, jump away before getting kicked etc. etc...
that's why my instructor likes me so much I guess...
I'm dumb enough to allways come back for more...

Rep Power: 22 | | | Yes there will be a large array of video clips going online. some of MAster He Jin Han of yin fu ba gua, some of Application, some free fighting, some showing nei gong and health movements, maybe even some healing sounds or meditation methods we will see.
I am currently waiting for Alex to give me a bunch of VCD's he has so that i can chop them down and get them online.
